Ledger, 1779-1780, 1782-1813.

This volume contains seven parts. The first part consists of accounts of warrants issued to individuals, mostly military officers, 26 July 1779-7 April 1780. The second part lists the total amounts of expenses incurred in building the Virginia Manufactory of Arms, 5 October 1805-7 October 1806, and expenses of manufacturing arms, 1 October 1805-3 October 1806. The third part is a continuation of the first part, with entries for 1 June-18 December 1780. The fourth part contains summary totals of amounts of auditor's warrants issued on various accounts between 1 October 1792 and 1 October 1793. The fifth and seventh parts consist of accounts with inspectors of tobacco for surpluses of public warehouses and cash advances, 1782-1813; these parts are arranged alphabetically by the name of the warehouse. The sixth part contains a register of warrants and certificates issued for executed slaves, 1783-1814, listing the names of slave owners in alphabetical order and the date and amount of each warrant or certificate issued.
